REVIEW: Clinique 3 Step

I have never been interested in Clinique products for whatever reason. I would always pass by the Clinique  counters without so much as a glance in that direction. However, for the past few months I have been watching reviews on YouTube and have spoken to two of my close friends who mentioned to me that  Clinique has some pretty great products.

I decided to try it. I bought the 3 step from Sears on special for $75, however I had a coupon so I got $15 off.   As I have combination to oily skin, I opted for combination -to-dry skin (as recommended by the Clinique specialist) . Included in the 3 step are:
step 1: Liquid facial soap
step 2: Clarifying Lotion
step 3: Dramatically different moisturizing lotion

The steps are to be used in that order.
I have been using this for about 3 months and i must say the products are EXCELLENT. If you suffer from oily skin the lotion really helps with mattifying the skin. It does not go on greasy and melts into the skin immediately. I have sinced noticed that  a few of the blemishes i had on my cheeks are quite clear now. For some reason, once every few weeks i get blemishes in the same spot for a few days. Using the 3 step has dramatically cut back on the frequency of those blemishes.

The Clarifying lotion is an amazing product, its a toner but it exfoliates as well. I don't know how, as it does not have any exfoliating beads, but it does make my skin clear and makes it feel soft and seem to remove a bunch of gunk from my face.

Finally, the Dramatically Different Lotion, is so amazing. If you have oily skin, this is amazing. It is very light and sinks in to the skin right away. It does not stay on your face as some other facial moisturizers tend to do.  I have noticed a big difference, in that, my skin is not as oily as it normally is and it also really cleared up and softened my face.

Over all, i give this product an 8 out of 10. I think the price is great, the idea of a 3 step is fabulous as well. Now, if it is a little bit out of your budget, what you can do is save up and invest in the Toner and the Moisturizer and just use whatever facial wash that you would normally use. If all you can afford is one product, i would say go for the moisturizer first and then work backwards to the lotion and the facial wash. I do think its a great buy and as the quality is good, you only need to use a little so you will get more bang for your buck.  Clinique gets my full recommendation. The products take about a month to see changes.
